Holidays mean a time when I can be creative all day long. I do have a day job to pay for the bills, and I do like my job, but heaven is when I can knit, or do some other type of crafty thing. So when others get fried on the beach or wander through museum No 5 (I very much like museums but not in bulk) I wander through my mind, tons of inspiration and stash of yarn for the next project and get going.
Here what I do almost every holiday, I make new potholders for my mother. You can never have enough potholders. Some of my mother’s looked a bit tired and were thence quickly opened up and turned into wash cloths. I posted on that before. Now she has a load of pink ones. And believe you me, they are the best wash cloths there are. Then I got a few odd balls and frogged cotton out of my mother’s stash and crocheted five rather colourful potholders. They go with the upholstery of her kitchen bench, if you wondered. I love them because they are so bright and cheerful.
Next time I will tell you about the recycled laptop sleeve I made.
